Civic Federation Resolution
Baseball Stadium Resolution
Adopted May 6, 2003
WHEREAS, the Civic Federation has been on record as opposing financing of public stadiums through taxpayer funds, local, state or Federal;
WHEREAS, the parties advocating both for and against bringing baseball to Arlington have presented information reflecting the concerns and interests of Arlington residents at its May 6 forum, including, but not limited to, economic implications, availability and suitability of sites, and infrastructure needs;
BE IT RESOLVED by the Arlington County Civic Federation that the construction of a baseball stadium in Arlington is not in the best interests of the general public and
THEREFORE, the Arlington County Civic Federation maintains its opposition to the use of public funds for stadium construction in Arlington.
