WHO WE ARE

The Arlington County Civic Federation (“ACCF”) is a not-for-profit corporation which provides a forum for civic groups to discuss, debate, inform, advocate and provide oversight on important community issues, on a non-partisan basis. Its members include over ninety civic groups representing a broad cross-section of the community. Communications, resolutions and feedback are provided to the Arlington County Government on a regular basis.


GENERAL INFORMATION

General Membership meetings of the Arlington County Civic Federation (ACCF) are generally held at 7.00 pm on the SECOND TUESDAY of the month from September through June. ACCF does not hold general membership meetings in July or August. From May 2022, General Membership meetings have been conducted in a hybrid format, both in-person at the Virginia Hospital Center and via Zoom.

NEXT GENERAL MEETING

HYBRID via Zoom and in-person at the John T Hazel, MD Conference Center, Virginia Hospital Center, 1701 N George Mason Drive.

On Tuesday 10 December 2024, the ACCF will conduct a Membership Meeting, both in-person, and virtually using Zoom, a videoconferencing platform. Delegates, Alternate Delegates, others associated with member organizations, and the public are invited to attend.

Advance registration for the online meeting is required and must be completed by noon EST on Monday 9 December 2024. To register in advance for this meeting, click here.

A confirmation email will be sent with unique meeting log-in/phone-in details. We strongly encourage early check-in, which starts at 6 pm. To expedite the check-in process, please use your first and last name as your profile name; this will help our team identify participants and ensure delegates receive their electronic ballots. If you are not familiar with Zoom, here is a link to information and instructions on how to register and participate the Membership Meeting. No registrations will be accepted after the deadline. The Secretary must be notified of voting member substitutions by noon EST on Sunday 8 December 2024. Please note that this date will be strictly adhered to in order to be able to validate eligible votes during the meeting.

Again, you MUST pre-register for the Zoom virtual meeting no later than noon EST, Monday 9 December 2024.

Meetings are held at the John T Hazel, MD Conference Center, Virginia Hospital Center, 1701 North George Mason Drive. Please park in the Zone C (GREEN) Garage and follow the directions below.

To access the GREEN (‘C’) Parking Garage, bear left when entering the hospital campus via entrance #1 off North George Mason Drive. Please bring the ticket you receive when you enter the garage with you to the meeting; we will distribute stickers to apply to your tickets to allow you to exit without charge.

TO ACCESS THE CONFERENCE CENTER AFTER PARKING

From the GREEN (‘C’) Parking Garage, walk across to the Oncology entrance and gain admittance until 8 pm. After the meeting, you MUST EXIT via the Women and Infant lobby.

ENTER (until 8 pm): Zone C Ground floor Oncology entrance (only open until 8 pm, Monday-Friday)

  • Sign into the visitor kiosks (need driver’s license each time)
  • Get visitor sticker and wear at all times when inside the hospital
  • Take a right at the double doors by the visitor kiosks
  • Take a right at the single door
  • Go to elevators and take to lobby floor
  • Exit elevators and go left to hall directly behind welcome desk in lobby
  • Take a left at the single door and continue down the hall toward a set of double doors
  • Go through double doors and go right
  • Conference center auditorium is directly ahead

ENTER or EXIT (24/7): Zone C first floor Women and Infant lobby entrance (please use this entrance to exit after 8 pm, open 24/7)

  • Sign into the visitor kiosks (need driver’s license each time)
  • Get visitor sticker and wear at all times when inside the hospital
  • Walk to hall directly behind the welcome desk in the lobby
  • Take a left at the single door and continue down the hall toward a set of double doors
  • Go through double doors and go right
  • Conference center auditorium is directly ahead
