In Recognition of an
Arlington Civic Hero
Acting Police Chief Steve Holl
The Arlington County Civic Federation takes pleasure in extending greetings and sincerest appreciation to Acting Police Chief Steve Holl, an Arlington County Employee who has made a difference in our County by actively advancing public safety and insuring greater citizen preparedness in light of the events of September 11th. Furthermore, the Civic Federation is pleased to declare Acting Police Chief Steve Holl a Civic Hero in recognition of his efforts on behalf of the community.
For more than thirty years, Chief Holl has worked tirelessly for the citizens of Arlington County through his service to the Arlington County Police Department. He was a member of our SWAT team for seventeen years, has been Commander of the Special Operations Section, Internal Affairs, and Research and Development. He has served as the Commander of the Third Police District and later as Deputy Chief of the Systems Management Division. Following the events of September 11th, Chief Holl was detailed to the Office of the County Manager to lead Emergency Preparedness Operations. In that capacity, he has worked tirelessly not only with the governmental staffs in Arlington but also with the citizens. He has at-tended countless meetings, worked with Civic Federation and Citizen Corps Council members on develop-ing neighborhood models, and provided both staff assistance and guidance to the Citizen Corps Council and the Federation's Public Services Committee - all with a view toward making Arlington a safer, more secure community in which to live and work.
These acts, performed on behalf of all Arlingtonians, and your service to our community is deeply ap-preciated and worthy of this recognition as an Arlington County Civic Federation "Civic Hero."
On Behalf Of A Grateful Civic Federation,
Daniel Krasnegor, President
